"Hi! My name is pk mutch (call me pk).

I am a cis, White, child immigrant to Canada from Germany, Mom to a 25 year old daughter, friend, colleague, mentor, creator, critical thinker, middle class migrant, and partner to Greg, a professional musician, producer and founder of Harlow Sound Studios. My feminism is always learning, intersectional, international, rooted in democratic socialist politics, interdependent, and imaginative.

After 15 years of working in progressive spaces, I think we need more feminist discourse, joyous in person gatherings, debate / learning spaces and cross progressive movement collaboration--if we truly want to change how we, and our future ancestors, experience life on the planet.

So it was time to act. This is how the Tiny Toronto (Feminist) Collab Lab was born.

My career/capitalist professional background includes a series of professional journeys including becoming an award-winning social entrepreneur in the food space, feminist digital media publisher, plus independent creator, activist, writer, curriculum/program designer, facilitator, lecturer, and university educator teaching advanced entrepreneurship courses, workshops and occasionally related Master's-level courses in innovation management and creativity at the Lang School of Business at the University of Guelph.

My political and feminist movement journey started at the age of 13. And have become more and more radical with time. How could I not.

I believe activist/politically motivated enterprise/commerce work can play an important role in supporting and diffusing the work /messages of important social movements at work in our time. I founded Fifth Town Artisan Cheese to promote sustainability and local food movements.  LiisBeth.com was born out of feminist rage after Trump was elected the first time. I study, practice and teach feminist and other approaches to entrepreneurship because of my love and respect for the millions of self employed, micro and other activist entrepreneurs that remain invisible to policy makers in this country--yet provided local communities with economics resilience and alternatives we need more of.

With this new project, I aim to earn a modest living (let's be transparent here) as self employed, project by project worker/fractional strategic advisor/educator doing something that matters: Working to enliven, resource, connect and support feminist, creator and democratic socialist communities and projects in Toronto.

I plan to prioritize and supporting unique, experimental ideas. And collaborating with others to make it happen.

My research /writing interests are part of my work. My focus is on re-defining the feminist economy, decoding/encoding feminist entrepreneurship, exploring politics of refusal, digital rights, punk sci-fi literature, and exploring alternative economics projects globally.
